Just to be clear.
Yesterday, during a press conference, Donald Trump announced that the withdrawal of federal troops from the city of Portland that had been negotiated between Governor Kate Brown and Vice President Mike Pence earlier this week was merely conditional. That the city and state police had 48 hours to "clear out" what he referred to as a "beehive of terrorists." This will be difficult, as the only people in the whole entire country who have actually been arrested on charges of terrorism related to the protests are the three right-wing Boogaloo bois, all former military, who had been hoping to exploit the protests for the purpose of inciting a race war. (One of whom also allegedly exploited his stepdaughter.)
You can't "clear out" imaginary terrorists.
<p>In his statement, Trump praised the federal troops for their daring rescue of a building, the federal courthouse in Portland, which was in danger of being grafittied to death, and claimed that everyone — reporters, government officials, actual residents of Portland — was collectively lying about it being a protest "as opposed to anarchists and agitators." </p><blockquote>So our people have done — Homeland Security have done a fantastic job. They went to Oregon a little more than a week ago. The place was a mess. The city, Portland, was just a disaster. You see it, and a lot of people weren't reporting it right. They tried to pretend it was a protest, as opposed to anarchists and agitators. You understand what I'm saying. It's a mess.<br><br>They went there a short while ago, and they saved a federal courthouse that costs hundreds of millions of dollars. And they put a ring around the courthouse and they saved it. But the group that's there is basically meant to save buildings, and they were very strong, very powerful. And they didn't come out too often out of this cocoon that they built in order to save these very expensive, valuable, and psychologically important buildings — right? — like courthouses.</blockquote><p>My first question, honestly, is <em>W</em><em>hy would a courthouse cost hundreds of millions of dollars?</em> That is actually just horrifying. Imagine bragging about something like that in a country where not everyone has health care or food, and at a time when the unemployment rates are higher than ever. "Oh hey! We spent hundreds of millions of dollars on a freaking courthouse! Isn't that great! And now we're spending even more money to protect it from graffiti, but extending unemployment benefits? Ooh! Don't think we can swing that one! We <em>hate</em> wasteful government spending!" </p><p>Trump then explained that the elected officials in charge of things don't know what they're doing, and then had the gall to whine that he shouldn't have "had" to "go in and clean out the cities" — a thing that absolutely no one there wanted him to do, and which he was really only doing because it appealed more to his base than dealing with the pandemic would: </p><blockquote>The governor and the mayor, we've been dealing with them, and we think they don't know what they're doing, because this should not have been going on for 60 days. It's not our job unless, in case of emergency — which I consider now to be an emergency — it's not our job to go in and clean out the cities. That's supposed to be done by local law enforcement.<br><br>Yesterday, the governor worked a deal where they'll do it; we'll stand by, they'll do it — and that's good. That was very good, but she didn't report it that way. What she reported was totally different. She said, "I think Trump wants to take over the country." It's crazy.</blockquote><p>It's not crazy if it's true!</p><p>The gist of all of this is that Trump desperately wants protesters who don't like him to be taken as more of a "threat" than they actually are, because he thinks this will make him look good. It's not about protecting courthouses or saving the city of Portland, it is about painting those who oppose him as terrorists. He also likes that it is a distraction from the far more pressing concern of a virus that is <em>actually</em> killing people. </p><p>After that, he got back on the "anarchists and outside agitators" train, because he definitely knows what anarchism is:</p><blockquote>So what happened is our people are staying there to see whether or not they can do it today and tomorrow. And if they don't do it, we will send in the National Guard and we'll take care of it. And we're telling, right now, these protesters — and many should be arrested because these are professional agitators, these are professional anarchists; these are people that hate our country. We're telling them, right now, that we're coming in very soon — the National Guard. A lot of people. A lot of very tough people. And these are not people that just have to guard the courthouse and save it. These are people that are allowed to go forward and do what they have to do. And I think that makes the governor's job and the mayor's job a lot easier.</blockquote><p>The only person I can think of who could <em>possibly</em> qualify as a "professional anarchist" right now is Noam Chomsky, and I don't think he's a real big physical threat. No one needs the National Guard to take down Noam Chomsky. </p><p>Of course, Trump has a tendency — whether purposeful or not — to breathe new life into early 20th century paranoias that once seemed like things we'd only ever read about in history books. It starts with "America First!" and ends with freaking out about anarchists and demanding <a href="http://www.history.com/topics/red-scare/palmer-raids" target="_blank">Palmer raids</a> on the city of Portland. </p><p>What Trump is trying to do here is to downplay the legitimate anger of people who are sick and tired of police brutality, who are sick and tired of the status quo, and replace it with an <em>illegitimate</em> anger brought on only because of fires being stoked by nefarious agitators, who are <em>only</em> stoking those fires because they are being paid to do so. Probably by George Soros. </p><blockquote>So they're working today and probably tomorrow to clean out this beehive of — of terrorists. And if they do it, I'm going to be very happy. And then, slowly, we can start to leave the city. If they don't do it, we'll be sending in the National Guard.</blockquote><p><em>Beehive of terrorists.</em> </p><p>It says a whole lot about Trump that his main priority right now is attacking a protest in Portland and that he so desperately wants to send the National Guard in to handle it. He didn't want to offer any federal help to areas that didn't have enough COVID-19 tests, he ignored governors who <a href="http://www.xtami.inter-chem.net/kushners-crew-had-a-coronavirus-plan-but-then-they-decided-to-blame-blue-state-govs-instead-lol" target="_blank">begged him for federal help</a> to deal with that. Kushner's Crew Had A Coronavirus Plan, But Decided To Blame Blue State Govs Instead. LOL!

What's worse than putting Jared Kushner and his canoe of douchebros in charge of America's pandemic response? How about making a plan then 旋风sub加速器because Kush decided it would be politically advantageous to let the virus rip through blue states and then blame Democratic governors for letting their own citizens die?
OH,YES, THEY FUCKING DID.
For months now we've been hearing about the presidential son-in-law and his handpicked posse of MBA brahs, the "A-team of people who get shit done," as one described the group to Politico. Kush and his dude crew were so confident that they knew better than the doctors and epidemiologists and infectious disease scientists and government procurement officers that they shoved all those dorks to the side and decided to handle the nation's coronavirus response themselves.
Well, first they tossed the Obama team's pandemic response plan in the trash. Then they told the nerds to go play with their pocket protectors or whatever, and got to work on their Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Super Bigly Brain COVID-19 Response Plan.
Only they didn't know what the fuck they were doing, so they just started reaching out to their contacts and buying up lots of random stuff on the government dime. Stuff like $52 million of coronavirus tests that randomly showed up in a DHL truck at the United Arab Emirates embassy in DC. After shipping them out, the government discovered that the tests were defective, possibly because they hadn't been properly refrigerated. Oopsie! So who was responsible for the fuckup? Who greenlighted the transaction? No one knows! That's kind of the point of the Power Ranger Helmet — you can't see which dipshit kid is under the costume.

<em>Vanity Fair</em>'s latest hair-raising <a href="http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/07/how-jared-kushners-secret-testing-plan-went-poof-into-thin-air" target="_blank">tick-tock</a> describes the wind-down of the Kushner brain trust, after Donald Trump decided it would be better to "slow the testing down, please" and the White House settled on NO PLAN as their plan to deal with coronavirus. For all their feckless hubris, Kushner's team <em>did</em> come up with a national testing and procurement strategy. They spent all of March feverishly messaging each other over WhatsApp and came up with a plan to ensure adequate testing for all Americans so that states wouldn't have to compete with each other for scarce resources. Which is exactly what the government is supposed to do in a time of national crisis — albeit not via a crew of civilians with no relevant experience working outside regular channels and ignoring public records laws.
</p><p>
And they may have been arrogant, but they weren't idiots. They knew damn well that coronavirus wasn't going to just "disappear like magic." One line from their draft reads, "Current challenges that need to be resolved include uneven testing capacity and supplies throughout the US, both between and within regions, significant delays in reporting results (4-11 days), and national supply chain constraints, such as PPE, swabs, and certain testing reagents." They might have spent a lot of time reinventing the wheel, but they did at least acknowledge that a national testing, procurement, and contact tracing strategy was the only way to beat this thing.

<span></span>But then ... it "just went poof into thin air," as one participant told VF.
</p><blockquote>
Trusting his vaunted political instincts, President Trump had been downplaying concerns about the virus and spreading misinformation about it—efforts that were soon amplified by Republican elected officials and right-wing media figures. Worried about the stock market and his reelection prospects, Trump also feared that more testing would only lead to higher case counts and more bad publicity. Meanwhile, Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House's coronavirus response coordinator, was reportedly sharing models with senior staff that optimistically—and erroneously, it would turn out—predicted the virus would soon fade away.</blockquote><p>
So Trump decided to just ignore COVID and hope it didn't kill too many people? And Dr. Birx <a href="http://www.xtami.inter-chem.net/so-it-was-dr-birx-in-the-white-house-study-with-the-covid-19-candlestick" target="_blank">told him</a> that would probably work out fine, go for it? Thanks a bunch, Birxy!

By April, the White House had decided it would be easier to make political hay out of dead Americans than, you know, to try to keep them alive.
</p><blockquote>
Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner's team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. "The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy," said the expert.<br>

That logic may have swayed Kushner. "It was very clear that Jared was ultimately the decision maker as to what [plan] was going to come out," the expert said.</blockquote><p>
On April 2, Kushner stood at the podium during a briefing and <a href="http://www.xtami.inter-chem.net/jared-kushner-mbasplains-coronavirus-to-americas-governors-guess-were-all-gonna-die" target="_blank">lectured</a> the state governors for trying to mooch ventilators from the federal government.
</p><p>
"The notion of the federal stockpile was it's supposed to be our stockpile," he said during that day's coronavirus MAGA rally. "It's not supposed to be states' stockpiles that they then use."
</p><p>
Just two weeks earlier, Trump announced his administration's plan to leave the states to their fate: "Governors are supposed to be doing a lot of this work, and they are doing a lot of this work. The federal government is not supposed to be out there buying vast amounts of items and then shipping. You know, we're not a shipping clerk."
</p><p>And now 155,000 Americans are dead, the economy is in shambles, and our kids are facing months more isolation and dislocation because Jared fucking Kushner and his demented father-in-law made a political calculation that it would be better to let Blue State Americans die than to mount a federal government response. A response which they had ready to roll out, and then threw in the trash next to the Obama team's pandemic response plan.</p><p>We're just going to banhammer our own selves here before we say anything unacceptable.</p><p><em>Something something something</em> WITH VOTES.</p><p>

Barack Obama delivered a perfect tribute to John Lewis yesterday at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Martin Luther King Jr. was pastor in the 1960s. Obama said he was honored to speak from King's pulpit, and to remember
perhaps his finest disciple. An American whose faith was tested again and again, to produce a man of pure joy and unbreakable perseverance: John Robert Lewis.
Obama did what you'd expect in a eulogy, praising Lewis as a hero of the Civil Rights movement and longtime member of Congress. Then Obama got political, because Lewis's cause isn't simply a matter for the history books. If we want to honor John Lewis, Obama said, we need to continue the work Lewis, King, and all the other heroes of the movement started. It was a beautiful eulogy, and a call for all of us to "keep marching."

<p>Obama was just four years old when John Lewis was clubbed by Alabama state troopers at the Edmund Pettus Bridge in 1965. His eulogy (<a href="http://www.cnn.com/2020/07/30/politics/barack-obama-john-lewis-eulogy-full-transcript/index.html" target="_blank">text here</a>) framed Lewis's activism as a central part of the American experiment: </p><blockquote>You know, this country is a constant work in progress. We're born with instructions: to form a more perfect union. Explicit in those words is the idea that we're imperfect. That what gives each new generation purpose is to take up the unfinished work of the last and carry it further than any might have thought possible.</blockquote><p>He reviewed the major events Lewis participated in: sit-ins at lunch counters in Nashville, the Freedom Rides, speaking at the March on Washington at the age of 23, leading the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, and of course leading the Selma to Montgomery march that left him with a skull fracture and led to the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. All that followed by 33 years representing his Atlanta district in Congress and continuing to demonstrate and get arrested for things that matter. </p><p>Obama marveled at the courage it took when Lewis and a friend, both just 20 years old, "younger than my oldest daughter," bought bus tickets in 1960 and insisted on sitting in the front of a bus, refusing to move. They were testing a Supreme Court decision desegregating interstate travel, well before the later, <em>official </em>Freedom Rides — which Lewis also participated in. </p><p>When Obama discussed the 1965 Selma to Montgomery march and Bloody Sunday, when the first attempt to march was turned back by the clubs and tear gas of the state troopers, the eulogy suddenly became very much linked to this summer's protests against police brutality: </p><blockquote>I imagine initially that day the troopers thought they'd won the battle. You can imagine the conversations they had afterwards. You can imagine them saying, "Yeah, we showed them." They figured they'd turn the protesters back over the bridge. That they'd kept, they'd preserved a system that denied the basic humanity of their fellow citizens. Except this time there were some cameras there. This time the world saw what happened, bore witness to Black Americans, who were asking for nothing more than to be treated like other Americans, who were not asking for special treatment, just equal treatment, promised to them a century before, and almost another century before that.</blockquote><p>John Lewis, Obama said, vindicated that "most American of ideas, the idea that any of us, ordinary people without rank or wealth or title or fame, can somehow point out the imperfections of this nation and come together and challenge the status quo." When we see something is wrong, isn't true to what America is supposed to be, we can stand up and say so. Lewis, and so many other Americans, Obama said, were just as much founders of America as the 1776 guys: </p><blockquote>America was built by people like them. America was built by John Lewises. He, as much as anyone in our history, brought this country a little bit closer to our highest ideals. And someday when we do finish that long journey towards freedom, when we do form a more perfect union, whether it's years from now or decades, or even if it takes another two centuries, John Lewis will be a founding father of that fuller, fairer, better America.</blockquote><p>As Obama spoke of Lewis's congressional career and his continued commitment to getting into "good trouble" — and urging young people to keep doing that, too — Obama pointed out that America is facing some distressingly familiar situations today:</p><blockquote>Bull Connor may be gone, but today we witness with our own eyes, police officers kneeling on the necks of Black Americans. George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators.<br><br>We may no longer have to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar in order to cast a ballot, but even as we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive ID laws and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision, even undermining the Postal Service in the run-up to an election that's going to be dependent on mail-in ballots so people don't get sick. </blockquote><p>And so, sorry not sorry, Obama said he'd have to get a bit political, because John Lewis's legacy is under active attack:</p><blockquote> John Lewis devoted his time on this Earth to fighting the very attacks on democracy and what's best in America that we're seeing circulate right now. He knew that every single one of us has a God-given power and that the faith of this democracy depends on how we use it. That democracy isn't automatic. It has to be nurtured. It has to be tended to. We have to work at it. It's hard.</blockquote><p>The voting restrictions that followed the 2013 Supreme Court decision gutting the Voting Rights Act, Obama noted, had frequently been passed in states "where there's a lot of minority turnout and population growth. That's not necessarily a mystery or an accident. It was an attack on what John fought for." So to <em>really </em>honor Lewis, Obama said, we need to restore the VRA. And it would be nice if we named it the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. </p><p>But Lewis wouldn't be satisfied if all we did was to "get back to where we already were."</p><blockquote>Once we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, we should keep marching to make it even better by making sure every American is automatically registered to vote, including former inmates who've earned their second chance. By adding polling places and expanding early voting and making Election Day a national holiday, so if you are somebody who's working in a factory or you're a single mom, who's got to go to her job and doesn't get time off, you can still cast your ballot. By guaranteeing that every American citizen has equal representation in our government, including the American citizens who live in Washington DC and in Puerto Rico. They're Americans. By ending some of the partisan gerrymandering, so that all voters have the power to choose their politicians, not the other way around. </blockquote><p>Much of that — apart from the DC and Puerto Rico statehood — is already in the voting law House Democrats <a href="http://www.xtami.inter-chem.net/dems-know-how-to-drain-swamps-let-americans-vote-goddammit" target="_blank">passed last year,</a> the <a href="http://www.xtami.inter-chem.net/democrats-house-bill-1" target="_blank">very first bill</a> taken up after Democrats retook the House. And then Obama, who never came close to anything like this when he was president, said that if the only way to get that ambitious expansion of voting protections passed is to do away with the filibuster in the Senate, "another Jim Crow relic," then fine, let's do that.</p><p>We're pretty sure Joe Biden heard <em>that</em>. </p><p>Obama closed by noting that some of the best protectors of John Lewis's legacy have been marching in the streets in 2020. One more blockquote, sorry not sorry, OK?</p><blockquote>By the thousands, faceless, anonymous young people, Black and white, have taken our nation "back to those great wells of democracy which were dug deep by the Founding Fathers in the formulation of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence." Just a couple days after the US death toll from from COVID-19 reached 150,000, Congress is holding hearings on the US coronavirus response, such as it is, featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci, CDC Director Robert R. Redfield, and Assistant HHS Secretary Adm. Brett P. Giroir, the Trump administration's top guy on testing, at least on the days when Donald Trump isn't telling him we need to reduce testing.
While all have testified to other committees previously, this will be the first time any of them have appeared before the House's Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, chaired by Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-South Carolina).
We imagine there are quite a few questions the committee members will have for them. Like "Is there any plan at all?" "Are you fucking kidding me?" and "Does Donald Trump know the virus doesn't give two shits what you call it?"
<p>The committee will probably also try to figure out if Dr. Fauci is even allowed into the White House anymore, and whether he's able to get a word in edgewise while Donald Trump is busy explaining what a genius he is. </p><p>This will also be the first chance Redfield will have to speak to Congress about the CDC's school reopening guidelines; last week, the administration blocked him from testifying to a different House committee. Watch carefully when he gets questions about political interference with the CDC — he may actually have a shock collar that reminds him to say only that Donald Trump is very smart and has a good brain for science. </p><p>Here is your livestream! During the 2016 Republican primary, Donald Trump humiliated Florida Senator Marco Rubio. He called him silly names and crushed him in his own state. Like Ted Cruz, Rubio went on and on about Trump would destroy the oh-so-noble conservative cause, but they both eventually caved and endorsed Trump for president.
Rubio has spent almost four years as Trump's loyal lap dog, deflecting if not outright defending the president's worst excesses. You might ask what Rubio gained from offering Trump his certified, pre-owned spine. Politico has a theory. See, if you've ever managed to stay awake through one of Rubio's stump speeches, you'd know he's the son of Cuban immigrants, the kind of immigrants Trump likes because they are inclined to vote for him. Rubio's a vocal critic of the regimes in Cuba and Venezuela, and he opposes what he considers Democratic policies of “appeasement in the region." He's also popular with Cuban and Venezuelan exiles and their descendants in Florida.
Trump wants to keep the “bad" immigrants and asylum seekers out of the country because as another Trump lapdog once said, he's a “xenophobic religious bigot." He also wants to win Florida again, and he considers Rubio key to that effort. This is why he wants to keep Little Marco happy.

<p>Politico claims Rubio's influence extends "well beyond his formal job title of Florida senator," which is good because he's never <a href="http://www.xtami.inter-chem.net/little-marco-rubio-hates-senate-so-much-wants-to-stay-in-senate-forever-now" target="_blank">liked that job.</a> He's apparently known in DC and in Latin American capitals from Buenos Aires to Havana as a "major force" behind the president's policies in the region. The administration seeks his blessing on “key hires" and Trump regularly reaches out to him on policy initiatives. </p><p>Former White House and State Department officials, as well as current Republican lawmakers, all agree Rubio is “effectively secretary of State for Latin America" — yes, the same Marco Rubio you are aware of!</p><p>Trump might've quenched Rubio's thirst for power, but Rubio is still humble.</p><blockquote>Rubio rejects labels like "virtual secretary of State for Latin America," an appellation <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/26/world/americas/marco-rubio-venezuela.html" target="_blank">bestowed</a> on him last year by The New York Times. "That implies we don't have a secretary of State and that's not accurate," he told POLITICO in an interview.</blockquote><p>But <a href="http://youtu.be/O5yTT3tlg2A?t=114" target="_blank">on the other hand</a> ...</p><blockquote>If people mean it as a compliment, I don't mean to turn them off on it. But it's not like the people I'm working with or providing advice to need to be convinced to do these things." He describes his own role in humbler terms: to offer advice and "nudge us in one direction or another" in hiring and policy decisions.</blockquote><p>Early into Trump's own nightmare regime, Rubio organized a meeting at the White House with Lilian Tintori, wife of Venezuelan opposition politician and then-political prisoner Leopoldo López. White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx appeared on CNN's "State Of The Union" this weekend, where she proved House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's lack of confidence in her is merited:
BIRX: I want to be very clear. What we are seeing today is different from March and April. It is extraordinarily widespread.

BIRX: I'm going to do what the CDC guidelines have recommended, and certainly the director. If you have high caseload and active community spread, just like we are asking people not to go to bars, not to have household parties, not to create large spreading events, we are asking people to distance learn at this moment, so we can get this epidemic under control.
On Monday, Nancy Pelosi reiterated why she has so little confidence in Birx:

During a highly contagious pandemic and worsening recession, Mnuchin is concerned we peasants will be lounging back and snacking on caviar with an extra $600. </p><p>Raddatz cited a Yale study that refuted this theory, which Mnuchin dismissed while seemingly forgetting America is a <em>consumer</em>-driven economy that can't function if Americans are busy starving or unable to spend money. Bernie Sanders pointed out Mnuchin's transparency about what the GOP actually values when he retweeted the interview clip: </p><p>So that happened. But back to Pelosi on "This Week"!</p><p>
Pelosi called out the GOP's attempts to disenfranchise voters by trying to stop mail-in voting, noting how very recently the GOP and the Trump family were all about mail-in voting:</p><blockquote><strong>RADDATZ</strong>: President Trump suggested that November's election could be delayed over concerns over mail-in voting. That drew widespread criticism, of course. But what are your concerns come November?

<strong>PELOSI</strong>: Well, I'm a former chair of the California Democratic Party, and I know that Republicans know how to do mail-in voting. They always would prevail when the mail-in votes came in.
<strong>But I think it's important for you to know, Martha, that in the most recent election we had in California, spring special election, that the president's son, Donald Trump Jr., and his daughter in law both did robos and ads saying, Republicans, mail in your ballots.</strong> It's important for you to mail in your ballots.
So they were talking about mail-in voting at this most recent election. I think that the president -- I don't think it benefits one party or another.</blockquote><p>
We'd call the GOP's tactics cartoonish, but they don't even rise to that level.</p><p>

You may have noticed that #UnverifyAndyNgo is trending today on Twitter. There are myriad reasons, of course, why people are not particularly fond of Andy Ngo. For one, he's been known for some time now to share deceptively edited videos in hopes of portraying antifa as "scary," leading to some very stupid rumors about "cement milkshakes." He shared and helped shape a Quillette article that put the lives of several journalists in danger by claiming they were in cahoots with antifa because they report on antifa while also following antifa accounts on Twitter. (Indeed, the neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen developed a "kill list" of journalists mentioned in the article and several were subsequently the recipients of death threats.) It means you get all the retweets rather than the person who uploaded it, and if it's their original video, that's just kind of a crappy thing to do.</p><p>Which brings us to Laura Ingraham and "@Brittany3l." </p><p>In late July, documentarian Rod Webber took a video of some <em>very</em> adorable toddlers at the Portland with "Fuck The Police" signs.</p><div id="f7c18" class="rm-shortcode" data-rm-shortcode-id="ab4cb414ab16fc797a6af801fc0de1f4"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet twitter-custom-tweet" data-twitter-tweet-id="1286137838707200000" data-partner="rebelmouse"><div style="margin:1em 0">These kids say, “fuck the police.”

</p><p>Not long after that, the video was reuploaded to Twitter by one @Brittany3l — a user with around 2200 followers who, for some reason we could not possibly speculate, seems to dedicate <em>most</em> of her timeline to praising and retweeting Andy Ngo — <em>with Webber's watermark removed</em>. </p><p>It was subsequently, like so many other videos, shared by Ngo — and then retweeted tens of thousands of times by his followers, including Donald Trump Jr. and Laura Ingraham.</p><p class="shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image">

</p><p>It will shock you that Andy Ngo is in fact a frequent guest on "The Ingraham Angle." There are many coincidences here!</p><p>Wonkette reached out to Webber, who provided the following statement:</p><blockquote>I'm not surprised that Andy Ngo turned out to be a plagiarist. I'm not surprised that Fox News is cringe, and engages in intentionally fraudulent activity. That said— I'm also really not too worried about someone using one of my video's within the parameters of fair use. However, to intentionally misattribute a video is not fair use. What we have here is a mega-"news" corporation, (Fox), getting caught red-handed engaging in fraud, false representation and negligent representation.<br><br>They have done it knowingly, and willingly. Between Fox and Andy Ngo, they have caused the video to be shared with a misattribution to hundreds of thousands. The video has received 3.4 million views off of Andy alone— and it has been shared by Senators, Governors, and the dim-wit President's son. <br><br>I am no stranger to lawsuits. A Federal judge has allowed my case against the Trump Campaign, (and other Trump affiliates), to proceed on several counts— assault, battery, fraud, false imprisonment, and more)— so I am currently reaching out to attorneys to consider legal action regarding Fox/ Ngo. The Trump case is NH District court case # 1:18-cv-00931-LM. We soon move into discovery.</blockquote><p>Given that Webber's voiceover is so clear in the clip, it would be quite difficult for the producers to not be aware that this was the exact same clip they had just been told they could not use. And that's a crappy thing to do. Creators are all hustling out here, and to take someone's work without permission, credit or payment is not just unethical, it's cruel.
